Dartmouth Health’s Department of Psychiatry seeks a full-timelicensed and Master’s prepared Behavioral Health Clinician(BHC) to join our expanding Pediatric Collaborative Care Team. This position will be based in the General Ambulatory Pediatrics Clinic (6L) at the main hospital as well the primary care clinic at Heater Road in Lebanon, NH.
As a member of the Collaborative Care team, you would have the opportunity to work closely with pediatric primary care providers, child psychiatrists, and other clinical staff to care for children and adolescents with behavioral health concerns directly in the primary care setting. Episodes of care are typically brief (up to 12 weeks in duration), employ evidence-based treatments, and may include both in person sessions and telephone outreach calls.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled clinician with experience in or willingness to learn about the Collaborative Care Model, a strong-team player with excellent communication skills, and enjoy being part of a busy pediatrics primary clinic.
We are offering a $7000 sign-on/retention bonus for this position. *The bonus is available for external hires only, and certain conditions apply.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of this position include:
* Triaging incoming referrals, conducting initial evaluations to clarify behavioral health concerns, providing psychoeducation about symptoms and treatments, and developing individualized care plans.
* Utilizing evidence-based treatment protocols to deliver care and closely monitoring patients’ symptoms and response to treatment using validated questionnaires and survey tools.
* Providing brief, evidence-based behavioral interventions such as behavioral activation, motivational interviewing, brief CBT, and parent skills training.
* Supporting psychotropic medication management as prescribed by medical providers, focusing on treatment adherence, monitoring side effects, and effectiveness of treatment.
* Proactively communicating with patients, families, primary care providers, and the consulting child psychiatrist to deliver effective, efficient, and patient-centered care.
* Facilitating connections to specialty mental health or substance use services when patients are in need of higher levels of care.
* Supporting the department’s educational and workforce development mission by providing supervision and learning opportunities for trainees in mental health fields.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution of higher education, including an internship meeting professional standards.
* Must be able to demonstrate that they have provided psychological services, on an inpatient, outpatient or consultative basis in the past 12 months
Required Licensure/Certifications
- Licensed or license-eligible as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
