Position Purpose:

At Johnson Memorial Hospital, the Behavioral Health unit provides behavioral health services benefiting from multi-disciplinary clinical teams that utilize a collaborative approach to care. What you will do:

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status, identify behavioral health needs, and develop individualized care plans.

Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for side effects, and provide education on medication management specific to psychiatric conditions.

Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, implement crisis intervention strategies, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Completion of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is mandatory. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.

Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Must hold a valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of Behavioral Health nursing experience is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in geriatric and/or adult psych and substance abuse disorders nursing.

BLS or CPR Certification: Current certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.

Work Schedule: Part-Time – 24 Hours Nights-12 Hour Shift-Every other Weekend/Holiday.
