Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and culturally sensitive Behavioral Health Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will provide primary care-focused behavioral health services and clinical consultation to patients with mental health needs. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between physical and mental health, ensuring comprehensive care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with primary care providers to assess and treat psychological disorders, substance use issues, and psycho-social challenges.Assist primary care providers in managing chronic pain and diseases, addressing associated psycho-social problems.Provide psychopharmacological consultation to primary care providers in collaboration with a psychiatrist, within the scope of practice.Offer consultation and training to clinic staff on behavioral health matters.Conduct behavioral health screenings, triage, evaluations, and assessments to determine appropriate care levels.Apply evidence-based therapeutic methods, such as cognitive behavior therapy and contingency management.Deliver crisis intervention and behavioral health support.Facilitate group interventions, including treatment, psycho-education, and health education.Collaborate closely with Medical Case Managers and providers.Educate and support patients and their families to promote adherence to medical and behavioral health plans.Coordinate and facilitate referrals to community resources based on assessed needs.Provide comprehensive behavioral health services, including intake evaluations, assessments, crisis intervention, counseling, treatment planning, and outreach.Develop and maintain procedures, protocols, forms, and data to ensure program relevance and usability for patients, clinic staff, and funders.Maintain current patient case records and prepare necessary reports.Work a flexible schedule as needed.Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Required Education, Experience, Training:
Master’s degree in social work/social welfare or doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.Current California license - clinical social worker (LCSW) or psychologist (PsyD).Current LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor).Preferred Education, Experience, Training:
One year of directly related experience, including background in primary care consultation, behavioral medicine, health psychology, or other relevant areas.Experience in public/community health settings and/or in serving low-income multicultural populations.Bilingual (preferably Spanish) highly desirable.Experience Level:

The pay range for this position is $106400.00 - $123338.88/yr.
