Join our team as a Behavioral Health Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and well-being of patients. This position involves direct patient care, assessment, and coordination of behavioral health services.
Minimum Qualifications:Education:Certificate (Level 2) or Associate’s degree from an accredited Psychiatric Technician Program or equivalent education and experience.Experience:At least 2 years of experience as a Behavioral Health Technician post-graduation.Experience in the U.S. military or civilian psychiatric technician training program.Certification:Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Skills:Proficient in English communication (reading, writing, speaking).Strong team collaboration skills with professionalism and positive attitude.Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Core Duties:Assist in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients.Conduct initial assessments including psychological testing, interviews, and mental status examinations.Provide patient education on mental health topics.Monitor, record, and report patient progress.Conduct or assist in group and individual counseling sessions.Implement precautionary measures to prevent patient injury or suicide.Record vital signs and maintain patient records.Coordinate care with other agencies and facilitate patient referrals to appropriate services.Ensure compliance with Army, DHA, and Combatant Command policies on deployment assessments.
