As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will provide direct care to clients in a residential or withdrawal management facility, monitor vital signs, and intervene in crisis situations when necessary. Your role will involve facilitating group activities, transporting clients to appointments, and maintaining accurate records to support their treatment and progress. You'll work closely with the treatment team to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
· Admit, supervise, monitor, transfer, and discharge clients/patients.
· Monitor vital signs and identify signs of withdrawal, determining when to escalate to medical intervention.
· Record and report vital signs and medical symptoms according to policy and medical direction.
· Oversee medication administration, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
· Facilitate and document self-administration of medications by clients, ensuring proper inventory and storage of medications.
· Screen and monitor clients for withdrawal symptoms, ensuring safety and recovery needs are met.
· Assist in group activities, including education and structured recovery sessions.
· Ensure all clients are accounted for during scheduled activities.
· Maintain a safe and clean environment while following all program policies.
· Document client behaviors and interactions in their treatment records, providing clear communication with the treatment team.
· Provide transportation for clients to and from appointments as needed.

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
· High School diploma or equivalent, with at least two years of responsible employment.
· Experience in human services or a related field is preferred.

Additional Qualifications:
· Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.
· Must complete required certifications, including First Aid, CPR, and Medication Administration, within three months of employment.
· Ability to pass background checks, including criminal, driving, and abuse/neglect screenings.
· Completion of training requirements such as Behavioral Management and Crisis Management within specified timeframes.

Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift, carry, or move objects up to 10 pounds occasionally.
· Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing.
· The role primarily involves sitting but may require standing or walking for short periods.
