Within the IOA, the Oregon Center of Excellence & Behavioral Health (OCEBHA) has a mission to improve care and services for older adults with behavioral health needs by educating, promoting, and maintaining the behavioral health workforce in Oregon : https://www.pdx.edu/institute-on-aging/ Position Summary The Older Adult Behavioral Health Training Coordinator will, in partnership with the OCEBHA leadership team, lead the Center’s mission to improve care and services for older adults with behavioral health needs by educating, promoting, and maintaining the behavioral health workforce in Oregon.
This position involves developing a training curriculum, planning training events with other trainers across the state, and identifying and cataloging existing training resources. Developing and maintaining community engagement and partnerships are vital components of this position. The person in this position will be responsible for meeting with collaborators and potential collaborators/others who are providing or looking for training and workforce development. This position involves developing and maintaining partnerships with organizations across the state.
In accordance with the AAUP collective bargaining agreement this position is open only to current PSU AAUP academic professionals. Article 17 Section 11 refers.
Minimum Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, human or social services or related field Four years of clinical experience in behavioral health (e.g., psychology, counseling, social work) Experience working with older adults or in the field of geriatric behavioral health Experience collaborating with community partners in behavioral health and aging services, including those who provide culturally-specific services Experience providing training to professionals Experience developing training curriculum Ability to travel to different locations across the state, approximately once per quarter Ability to travel away from campus to meet with community partners throughout Oregon Possession of a valid State-issued driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications Licensed credential(s) in behavioral health (e.g., psychology, counseling, social work) At least eight years of clinical experience in behavioral health (e.g., psychology, counseling, social work)

Work Days/Hours Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week, schedule to be determined Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement Salary is dependent on several factors, and new employees will typically start around the Q1 level to allow for later growth within the salary band. PSU has a structured process for determining starting compensation, taking into account years of related experience, applicable skills, knowledge and abilities, market parity, and internal equity.
The starting annual salary for this position will be between $61,356 and $69,228 (at 1.0 FTE), but may be negotiated above this range, dependent upon the factors above, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR.
