Bell Attendant (Bell)
Position Summary Meet and greet guests upon arrivals or departures at designated location. Provide extraordinary service to all guests, assist with luggage and other related requests, and to establish positive impression to create a memorable and satisfactory stay in Galaxy HotelPrimary Responsibility • Maintain professional image and elegant posture in public area at all the time • Proactively engage with guests and provide any assistance • Provide accurate Galaxy Macau information to guests • Smiles and greets guests with the Asian Heart gesture, maintains eye contact and a smile throughout interaction with guests. • Attend the daily shift briefings to anticipate on the guest’s arrival and departure demands daily especially VIP arrivals/departures, special requests etc. • Ensure the updated Galaxy Hotel leaflets are always available at ferry terminal and airport counter. • Confirm the pick up information (Guest Name and Patron Number; Ferry Schedule / flight detail and ETA; Driver and Contact Number etc.), to make sure information is accurate. • Keep checking Flight / ferry information, to inform all related parties should there be any delay or changes of the guest's flight information. • Standby for picking up at arrival hall at least 15 minutes before guest’s arrival, to make sure paging board is easy to be seen by the guest. • Communicate effectively with limo driver and other related parties about the guest status to ensure a smooth and seamless arrival or departure experience. • Assist the arrival guest and farewell the departure guest at the entrance, offering the greeting appropriately. • Pay particular attention to the VIP guests, be able to recognize the repeated guests, to remember their names and always greeting the guests by their names in a friendly and professional manner. • Approach the guests proactively in the hotel lobby and reception areas, to offer luggage assistance and other service including but not limited to information service, hotel / room orientation, transportation arrangements and assistance etc. • Perform Bell Service activities including providing luggage service upon guest arrivals/departures, luggage storage, cloakroom storage, luggage delivery, message service, newspaper and magazines delivery, parcel and mail handovering, information service and other related tasks in an accurate and timely manner. • Handle payment for storage services when necessary. • Be able to provide instructions and directions to the taxi drivers if requested by the guests. • Coordinate with security personnel in maintaining orderly traffic in front of the hotel entrance. • Maintain the Working Areas, Driveway, Luggage rooms, Cloakroom and Bell Services Counters clean and tidy at all times. • Raise and retrieve flags with proper flag etiquette at specific times set by Galaxy Hotel. • Responsible for driving, cleaning and maintaining the buggy. • Take care of the operational device and equipment, report to superiors in timely manner should any damage or malfunction. • Have full knowledge of Galaxy Hotel Standards. • Perform other duties assigned by superiors.Requirements • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of Hotel facilities and Services. • Education, Training Qualifications: College Level. • Experience: Relevant experience of Front Office in the Hotel industry is an advantage. • Personality: Outgoing and approachable, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Languages: Good command of both written and spoken English, Cantonese or Mandarin. • Other Requirement: Knowledge of another foreign language other than the ones mentioned above is an advantage.
