Job Description Summary
Seeking a Part-Time Bell Attendant/Driver who will be responsible for greeting guests and handles luggage in a courteous and efficient manner upon check-in and check-out. Delivers guest mail, messages, packages, etc. Pick up and deliver guest laundry. Drives the hotel shuttle to transport guests to and from the hotel within a three (3) mile radius.Job Description
Qualifications and Requirements:
High school education or equivalentMust speak fluent EnglishExcellent communication skillsMust have six months guest service experience or hotel experience preferredValid driver’s license required with a good driving record, which will be updated every 6 monthsAbility to stand and walk for prolonged periods of timeAbility to bend, squat, kneel, climb, and reach dailyAbility to lift, carry and store in overhead areas approximately 50 pounds and push and/or pull a luggage cart weighing approximately 200 poundsAbility to work in extreme temperaturesAbility to read and writeAbility to comply with van driver and/or valet parker requirementsFlexibility for both AM/PM shifts, and may be required to work nights, weekend, and/or holidays
Duties and Responsibilities:
Promptly greet, welcome, and assist guests upon arrivalAssist guests to load and unload luggage from the vehicleInform guests of parking optionsSafely handle luggage to and from guest rooms. May secure, tag, and store luggage at guest’s requestDeliver guest mail, messages, packages, etc. at guest’s requestPick up and deliver guest laundryExplain and promote hotel facilities, outlets, and services to guest and provide information to guests regarding local attractions and activitiesPerform any other duties as assigned by managementPerform a daily vehicle inspection of the shuttle at the start of the shiftAlways maintain hotel shuttle cleanTransport guests to and from the hotel within a 3-mile radiusAlways remain on the scheduled routeEnsure the safety of all passengers and their belongingsLoad/unload guest luggagePerform any other tasks as assigned by managementAdditional Job Information/Anticipated
