You will be responsible for performing all tasks associated with manufacturing belts following the standard operating procedures. You will work 1st shift,  7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Activities and duties may vary depending upon site specific needs. Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:  + Prepare mother asambly per standard operating procedures. + Insert and remove mother from tanks. + Grind, wash and spindle belts per work instructions. + Perform visual inspections to detect quality issues. + Prepare, clean and store belts per standard operating procedures. + Pack belts for shipment. + Setting up lab equipment using a variety of settings. + Analyze test results. + Enter test results into the computer to keep accurate records of laboratory work along with recording observations, preparing data for further analysis. + Perform simple statistical analysis through the collection and input of data into software applications and/or manual calculations. + Be able to verify the feasibility of the process defined by the Travel Sheet. + Maintain a safe, clean, efficient and productive workplace. + Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications + High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience. + Must have general knowledge of and able to work with computers and programs (Excel, Word, MFG PRO) + Able to work with others in a team environment. + Able to lift at least 50 pounds. + Able to work flexible hours as required by the production process. + Intermediate level of mathematical, reading/writing skills.  + Must regard safety as a core value; must serve as role model for other employees and encourage adherence to safety practices, policies and procedures.  + Must be able to actively contribute in a team based environment, encourage open communication and positive interaction with peers and management to effectively reach a common goal.  + Must have a strong service and quality focus, be able to address issues effectively when problems arise, and take initiative to understand the root cause then communicate/educate the team in a timely manner.  + Must demonstrate proficiency in essential tasks of the job and a willingness to learn and share knowledge; must take initiative to cross-train and sustain acquired skills.  + Must have demonstrated record of flexibility and dependability in order to support production and customer focus. + Must have a strong detail orientation and be able to follow written and oral instruction.   + Must be able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests.
