Job Summary:
The Bench Manager plays a pivotal role in managing the people on bench effectively to ensure optimal utilization and alignment with project requirements. This role involves closely working with the people on bench to ensure they are engaged during their time on bench. The Bench Manager will also be required to collaborate with Staffing SPOCs, Practice/Capability teams, Training proactively to deploy available people, minimize bench time, and support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Bench Management & Engagement
Maintain and manage an updated database of people on bench, including their skills, availability, and readiness to be deployed (Bench tracker data completeness and accuracy)Ensure the required information of people on bench is readily available at all times - updated profile, Project Release Feedback, etc.Ensure employees on the bench remain connected, productive and engaged during their downtime:Conduct daily and weekly Bench Connects to educate on bench guidelines and other staffing policies and address people queries
Identify skill gaps in bench employees and work with Project teams/RM/Training for necessary training programs
Engage bench employees in other short-term activities like Hiring interviews, internal projects, etc. when the need arises
Ensure prompt deployment of bench pool to internal or client projects to based on requirements by tracking and monitoring Bench Ageing
Conduct connects with HR/Training/Business Leads

Monitor bench % and proactively work to minimize bench % - Minimize aging of resources on the bench by ensuring timely deploymentDrive optimization of partial available people to minimizePrepare and share reports regularly on bench strength, bench ageing analysis, high bench %. Analyze trends and provide insights to optimize bench management processesDrive Supply Forecast processRequired Skills and Qualifications:
3-5 years of proven experience in Staffing/RMG, workforce planning, or a similar roleStrong understanding of IT/engineering skills, technologies, and people deployment cycles.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., MS Excel, Power BI).Analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Key Competencies:
