Operates equipment in accordance with the Company’s safety guidelines Loads and unloads metal into either a manual or automated bender/crippa machine Operates equipment and may be responsible for basic machine set up Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the shift leader or production manager Maintains the work equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations Competencies Communication proficiency Ability to work in a fast paced environment Mindful of safety and quality procedures High attention to surroundings Self-starter with ability to work independently or in a group setting Supervisory Responsibility This role does not have any supervisory responsibility. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee may be required to stand and/or walk for an average of eight (8) hours per day, and may be required to bend, stoop, or lean while performing normal job duties. The employee may be required to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be highly conscious of safety. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, with an average of 40 scheduled hours per week with the possibility of overtime as decided by a manager. The scheduled hours for this position are dependent upon the desired shift. Travel No travel is required for this position. Required Education and Experience No experience or education required. Preferred Education and Experience High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required Previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferred, but not required Previous experience with machinery, basic machine set up, and small power tools preferred, but not required Must be able to read a tape measure Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) This position requires the employee to follow mandatory PPE guidelines. The employee is required to wear Z.87 rated safety glasses at all times. The employee may be asked to wear additional PPE dependent upon the position. Work Authorization/Security Clearance Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
