The Benefits Administrator position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of group benefit programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending plan, 401(k) plan and retirement plan. Within this position, the Benefits Administrator will provide excellent customer service and analytical and technical support in the delivery of quality benefits programs.
\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinates daily benefits processing in regards to enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims.
• Evaluates and reviews internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
• Assists with maintenance of employee benefit files and updating of employee payroll records.
• Audits the accuracy and performance of benefit functions and perform plan audits on a routine basis.
• Ensures compliance with applicable government regulations.
• Provides customer service support to internal and external customers and assists in developing communication tools to enhance the understanding of the company’s benefit package.
• Distributes summary plan descriptions, materials for new hire orientations and open enrollment.
• Acts as employment and wage verification coordinator. Works with others in HR to ensure timely completion of wage and employment verification requests.
• Processes and tracks FMLA and ADA related claims for assigned areas and assists with ongoing FMLA/ADA training of managers.
• Manages several complex projects simultaneously while working to meet deadlines.
• Communicates effectively with co-workers and store employees regarding company policies and procedures related to benefit programs.
• Audits and processes monthly benefit related invoices. Negotiates resolution of invoicing problems with vendors.
• Creates and analyzes ACA compliance related reports. Insures compliance with ACA and other Federal regulations to avoid or minimize penalties for the company.
• Oversees the maintenance of employee related benefit files and updating of employee payroll records.
• Ensures HIPPA compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
