Job Description:

About the Role: 

The Benefits Administrator is responsible for supporting Human Resources, Finance, employees and retirees with benefits enrollment and questions, processes billing, maintains employee database and files, and ensures required benefit compliance. The role is a key contributor in the Total Rewards function and reports to the Manager, Benefits. 

Administers various employee benefit programs such as health, dental, vision, savings and spending accounts, life, disability, and well-being programs. 

Provides customer service support to Human Resources and to employees and manages internal email box. 

Conducts or assists in benefits orientations and explains benefits self-enrollment system. 

Administers COBRA and flexible spending accounts. 

Processes and documents billing procedures and materials. 

Prepares, distributes, and maintains retiree benefit eligibility, enrollments and life claims. 

Assists with open enrollment system set up, process and employee communications. 

Provides the technical support and work with end users to provide system support and troubleshoot system problems; 

escalates complex issues. 

Distributes materials such as benefits orientations, open enrollment, summary plan descriptions and other required notices. 

Maintains administrative procedures for benefits processes. 

Assists HR and Benefits teams in obtaining data and information for benefit plans. 

Administers eligibility and data on the benefit plans. 

 

About You: 

You’ll fit right in if you have: 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred. 

Minimum 2 years of experience supporting benefit plans and programs. 

Possess strong analytic skills. 

Accurate and attentive to detail. 

Workday system experience preferred. 

Excellent communication skills required. 

Knowledge of employee benefits laws and regulations. 

Ability to communicate effectively within and between departments and to all levels within the organization and external customers 

Possess good judgment and problem-solving skills 

Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

Possess good planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities 

Adapt quickly and efficiently to new situations, cope effectively with pressure and deadlines 

Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel 

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion and good judgment.
