Benefits Analyst
Overview (This role is Remote) Foot Locker is looking for an experienced benefits professional to join their Total Rewards team. The Benefits Analyst is responsible for managing the data integrity and compliance of Foot Locker’s US and Canadian company's Healthcare, Life, Disability, Voluntary and Retirement Plans. The position is focused on vendor and benefits data management, HRIS system integrity, analyzing data metrics and implementing procedural changes to internal and external administrators based on benefit plan design and regulatory compliance. #LI-MN1 Responsibilities Conducts data analysis and develops metrics to support benefit strategy for annual benefit design, system upgrades and changing regulations, assuring continued compliance with company benefit programs and federal and state regulations. Partner with cross functional teams including external vendors, insurance carriers, Payroll/Finance and HRIS to determine resolution to complex team member benefits matters escalated from HR Services and HRBPs. Develop file extract specifications with internal and third-party systems, including vendor structure analysis, system mapping, implementation, testing, error reports supporting data integrity within interna and external systems. Working with IT and third-party vendors to augment system configuration (i.e., vendor file submissions, data processing procedures, etc.), assuring systems and processes adequately support the various HR functions and objectives and are adjusted annually to remain complaint with Foot Locker internal controls and government regulations. Work with HRIS to ensure accurate system configuration and compliant administration of team member benefits through system data configurations, eligibility rules and system audits. Actively contribute to planning and execution of annual Benefits Enrollment including system configuration, changes to vendor file extracts and compliance procedures. Recommend and develop benefits-related policy revisions, coordinating with cross functional teams to adjust processes and procedures in line with benefit plan changes and government regulations. Analyze, evaluate, and monitor benefit plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and other requirements from the IRS and DOL Provides data necessary for completing compliance activities, team member communications, vendor audits and billing reconciliation, data collection and management reports to ensure the consistent accuracy and availability of benefit data. Assists in the preparation and timely filing of federal, state and government regulatory requirements and reporting including, 5500, Summary Annual Reports, ACA 1095-C and 1094-C, CMS and state healthcare filings. Supports project initiatives, regulatory audits, legal inquiries, team member support, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline required. Minimum 3-4 years of HR experience working with ERISA, ACA, DOL, COBRA and FMLA regulations. Minimum 2 years of in-depth benefits experience, working with healthcare, disability and/or retirement plans. Advanced technical skills in database report writing, excel, and other Microsoft software products and utilizing technology to drive innovation, effectiveness, and efficiency. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail. Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification, Group Benefits Associate (GBA) or progress working towards your benefits certification or designation preferred. Prior experience with HRIS systems and ad hoc query reporting required, PeopleSoft experience preferred. Excellent communication skills, including presentation and written, strong customer service and ability to effectively communicate with external vendors and executive level team members. Self-motivated and ability to work independently, managing numerous priorities as well as a team-oriented matrixed environment. Benefits The annual base salary range is $50,000 - $61,500 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
