Job Overview:
As a Benefits Auditor you will be responsible for auditing the payroll and benefits of unionized buildings, assist with all client employee's benefits administration and functions. In addition to acting as a liaison with union employees and officials.

Your Responsibilities:
Compliance with labor law and reporting requirements, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, PFL, Paid Sick, Commuter Benefits, ERISA, EEO, DOL, workers compensation, and OSHA. Conduct internal audits, review and analyze payroll and benefits data to ensure compliance with union contracts, federal and state laws. Identify and evaluate risks, create reports and highlight deficiencies/areas of improvement and present findings to the manager. Make corrections as needed with the union to be compliant with the laws and regulations and minimize/eliminate exposure to penalties and overpayment of benefits. Collaborate with external auditors during statutory audits by providing the records as requested, following all PII data security standards. Maintenance of all client FSRNY union sponsored health & welfare benefits such as but not limited to: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), LTD, STD, COBRA, Disability, and Unemployment Insurance & Worker’s Compensation. Conduct bill reconciliations monthly for all insurance providers ensuring total accuracy. Update new hires, LOA and terminations in the 32BJ ESS portal. Ensure that policies and procedures comply with all government regulations and company guidelines. Conducts Resident Manager and Property Manager training on union benefit eligibility Administer leaves of absence programs and workers’ compensation claims, including payroll coordination and vendor oversight Reports to insurance providers any additions, changes or revisions of benefit coverage as informed by colleague Assist with Workers Comp audits Create and maintain training manuals for Property Managers and Resident Managers on the proper use of administering LOA’s and best practices. Monitors government regulations, legislation, and benefits trends.Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, OR 3 - 5 years of experience in the Payroll and benefits field, specifically working with unions. 32BJ Union experience or similar is required for this position. Proven experience as a Payroll and benefits specialist or similar role Current knowledge of 32BJ ESS system Strong understanding of local union contracts Ability to work with large data sets and meet deadlines Familiarity with payroll software/ HRIS (e.g. SAP, ADP, Kronos) and MS Office (especially Excel) A keen eye for detail and accuracy An analytical mind and good math skills Outstanding communication skills (written and oral) Organizational and leadership skills Managing Processes, Data Entry Management, Reporting Skills, Compensation and Wage Structure, Benefits Administration, Worker Compensation, Employment Law, Developing Standards, Financial Skills, AccountingWhat We Offer:

Compensation:
$33 - $38 / hour
