Description
We are working with a client for an interim Benefits Coordinator to join their team in Waite Park, Minnesota. In this Contract-to-Permanent role, you will oversee and optimize employee benefit programs, ensuring compliance and delivering exceptional support to our workforce. This position involves working closely with internal teams and external providers to manage benefit processes and provide guidance to employees. Work model is on-site.
Responsibilities:
• Administer employee benefit programs, including conducting orientations and managing open enrollment processes.
• Serve as the primary liaison between brokers and benefit providers to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution.
• Oversee online enrollment and termination processes for employee benefits.
• Advise employees on benefit options and assist with claims inquiries to provide clear and helpful guidance.
• Act as a Wellness Champion and actively contribute to the Wellness Committee Program.
• Analyze employee utilization of current benefits and present actionable recommendations to management.
• Prepare and deliver materials to communicate benefit plan updates and changes to employees.
• Process leave requests, sick time, and other related employee needs with accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Payroll and Accounting teams to review insurance billings and ensure proper documentation.
• Respond to inquiries regarding workers’ compensation claims and maintain compliance with all required notices.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration.
• Proficiency in benefit functions, claim administration, and employee wellness program management.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees, brokers, and providers.
• Experience working with UKG Pro or similar systems for enrollment and benefits management.
• Knowledge of auditing processes and leave programs.
• Ability to analyze and compare benefits offerings using surveys and other data sources.
• Familiarity with reviewing billing statements and ensuring accuracy.
• Understanding of compliance requirements for benefit plan offerings and notices.
• Experience in Sage desired and Workday or SAP is a plus.
