Benefits Manager
Key Responsibilities: Employee Benefits Administration: Oversee the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits. ADP Administration: Manage the integration and administration of the company’s benefits programs within the ADP platform, ensuring accuracy in enrollment, changes, and employee records. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding employee benefits, including HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, ACA, and FMLA. Prepare and submit required compliance reports such as 5500s, ACA filings, and non-discrimination testing. Employee Support and Communication: Provide guidance and support to employees regarding their benefits options, eligibility, and claims processes. Develop and deliver benefits education programs and communication materials. Vendor Management: Collaborate with external benefits vendors and brokers to manage plan renewals, negotiate rates, and resolve any issues related to benefits offerings. Audit and Process Improvement: Conduct regular audits of benefits enrollment and billing to ensure data integrity and resolve discrepancies. Proactively recommend and implement improvements to benefits processes and systems. Open Enrollment: Lead the annual benefits open enrollment process, including communications, systems updates, and coordination with vendors and employees. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee benefits administration. - Expertise in using ADP for benefits administration and reporting. - Strong knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations, including ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, and FMLA. - Experience with compliance reporting and preparation of Form 5500 and ACA filings. - Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with vendor management and benefits plan negotiations. - Proficiency in other HRIS systems.
