Help employees understand the value and contents of their total benefits package (health, life, dental, vision, etc.). Answer questions and resolve issues related to employee benefits. Assist employees with timely enrollment of benefits. Ensure the benefit information in both internal and external benefits systems are accurate.
Primary Responsibilities
Answer questions from employees and managers regarding employee benefits in a professional, courteous, and prompt mannerAct as a guide to help employees understand the benefit options available and explain benefit offeringsResearch employee questions in both internal and external systems (I.e., payroll, online benefits administration)Enroll employees and their qualified dependents into ODFL benefit plans and follow up, as necessary, to obtain the proper documentationAssist with other benefits processes such as: terminating benefits, modifying benefit elections due to qualifying events, and adding new benefits within the appropriate timeframe, as defined by government regulations and ODFL plan documentsKeep meticulous records of benefits changes, scanning benefit documents into employees’ records, and run audit reports to verify accuracyWork with benefit providers/vendors to ensure employees and dependents are properly enrolled in various benefit plansRespond timely to phone calls and emails from employees and plan participants regarding benefit related questions and issuesParticipate in other projects as assignedJob Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalentExperience:
2 years of direct experience in employee benefitsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to answer benefits questions clearly and accuratelyDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, AS400Excellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly organized and detail orientedUnderstanding of government regulations regarding employee benefitsWorking Days:
