Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Benefits Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This position focuses heavily on benefits audits and requires someone who can work independently while ensuring accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to solving benefit-related issues.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough audits of employee benefits including health plans and 401(k) accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage benefit processes using tools such as ADP Workforce Now and Excel, adhering strictly to established standard operating procedures.
• Resolve discrepancies in benefits promptly, ensuring employees receive their entitled benefits and addressing time-sensitive concerns.
• Communicate effectively with employees to address benefit-related inquiries and provide clear resolutions with professionalism.
• Collaborate with internal teams while independently managing a high volume of work during this contract assignment.
• Utilize advanced tools and systems to track, match records, and generate reports related to employee benefits.
• Follow detailed procedures to execute benefit audits and manage claims with precision.
• Act as a resourceful problem-solver, proactively identifying and addressing issues to maintain seamless operations. Requirements • Previous experience in benefits administration or HR, with expertise in audits, health insurance, and 401(k) plans.
• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now, Excel, and other relevant tools such as Principal account management systems.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating a self-starter attitude.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive employee issues with professionalism.
• Proven problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering timely and effective solutions.
• Familiarity with COBRA administration, claim management, and other benefit functions.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment with a high workload and minimal training. TalentMatch®
