About the role:The Benefits Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day administrative operations of the Benefits department. This role supports the Benefits Manager and provides exceptional customer service to all employees. The Benefits Specialist addresses Benefit related issues and ensures the effective utilization of company systems, tools, and resources to create a positive employee experience.Responsibilities:Assist in supporting U.S. employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, leave of absence (LOA), life and disability insurance, HSA, FSA, commuter benefits, 401(k), and COBRA.Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits and provide support for leave of absence questions.Assist with the coordination of the Open Enrollment process, including communication, training, vendor updates, and other tasks.Manage Workday tasks such as processing life events, new hire benefits, and missing information.Lead weekly benefits new hire orientation.Process vendor invoices and conduct enrollment auditsProvide support to ensure the consistent administration of benefit programs in compliance with company policies and government regulations.Help monitor changes in state and federal regulations related to benefit plans and ensure compliance.Additional tasks/projects as neededRequired Qualifications:At least 5 years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of 3 years in employee benefits administration.Experience in administering employee benefits programs.Ability to manage objectives and initiatives while supporting the Benefits team. Strong proficiency in Excel and/or GoogleSheetsExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrate competency in using technology effectively.Ability to work with employees at all levels of experience and seniority within the organization, maintaining discretion in handling sensitive employee benefits matters.High School Diploma or GED requiredExperience in supporting vendor management, including managing to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), is required.Additional Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field Physical/Cognitive Requirements:Prompt and regular attendance at assigned work location.Capability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods.Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate keyboard, computer and other office-related equipment.No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs of force (e.g., lifting a computer \/ laptop) may be required.Capability to work with leadership, employees, and members in an appropriate manner.The United States new hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are:
Zone A: $63,670 - $82,740 + equity + benefits Zone B: $73,221 - $95,180 + equity + benefits Zone C: $79,588 - $103,460 + equity + benefits Zone D: $82,771 - $107,590 + equity + benefits
This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for candidates based on their respective Zone. Below is additional information on Included Health's commitment to maintaining transparent and equitable compensation practices across our distinct geographic zones.
Starting base salary for the successful candidate will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include, but not limited to, education; training; skill set; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; business needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and alignment with geographic and market data. Compensation structures and ranges are tailored to each zone's unique market conditions to ensure that all employees receive fair and competitive compensation based on their roles and locations.
