Responsible for and In-Charge of operating the shift of personnel during berthing/un-berthing of LNG Tankers/other vessels at the Dahej terminal.
Responsible for advising the captain of the LNG tankers / other vessels for positioning the LNG tankers / other vessels in line with the unloading arms while berthing of the LNG tanker/other vessel.
Responsible for safe berthing/un-berthing of LNG Tankers/other vessels to prevent any damage to the jetties.
Co-ordinate with mooring men on the jetties and on the LNG Tanker/other vessels.
Responsible to supervise daily maintenance activities and carry out safety supervision / tool box talks etc.
Responsible for all aspects of the safety of the vessels on the jetties.
Responsible to schedule visits on vessels for HSE briefings & conducting mock Drills. Conduct safety meeting, training and drills for Tugs crew, Radio Officers and mooring team (Jetty Officer, Mooring Supervisor and Mooring crew).
Assist tugs crew, Assistant Port Manager and Port Engineer for MMD & IRS periodic survey, to co-ordinate for External & Internal audits.
Educational Qualification:
(A) Valid certificate of First Mate (FG) or Master NCV or EX-Navy Petty Officer from Seamanship background
(B) Shall have successfully completed Fire Fighting training, Tanker Safety course, advance first-aid course and the pollution fighting training.
Experiences:
Shall have minimum three (3) years’ experience as Second Officer or Duty Officer in charge of Mooring Operations (in case of NCV/Naval Petty Officer)
