Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale is seeking an experienced Beverage Assistant Manager to develop and implement a beverage program that aligns with the hotel's outlet's overall brand and vision. This role involves training and educating restaurant staff to ensure they have a thorough understanding of the hotel's beverage offerings. The role will also oversee the Onyx operations and report directly to the Director of food and beverage. The candidate will make key operational management decisions in the resort's beverage program. We are looking for a candidate who can create a memorable Four Seasons experience by building strong relationships with our guests.
What you will do:
Staff Training and Education: Develop and implement a comprehensive training plan focused on beverage offerings, including cocktails, spirits, and wine, to enhance staff knowledge and service quality.
Performance Tracking: Monitor server performance metrics such as average beverage sales per guest, items sold per guest, and overall sales effectiveness.
Menu Development: Create and regularly update beverage menus for Onyx and Talavera to ensure a diverse and appealing selection.
Inventory Management: Effectively manage beverage inventories and cellar, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing dead stock.
Cost Control: Oversee beverage cost management and contribution margins to maximize profitability.
Program Compliance: Ensure adherence to the core beverage program across all hotel outlets and maintain high standards.
Cocktail Innovation: Design and develop new cocktails and special drink offerings to enhance guest experiences.
Guest Engagement: Create unique beverage experiences for hotel guests, fostering memorable interactions.
Wine Dinner Program: Continue to expand and refine the wine dinner program, promoting wine pairings and enhancing the dining experience.
Beverage Sales Promotion: Drive beverage sales through staff education initiatives and tasting events to increase product knowledge and customer engagement.
Onyx team Management: Actively contribute to the management team and provide coverage in Onyx as a manager
Maintains outlet presence and follows up on guests requests and feedback
Ensures all restaurant and hotel policies are being followed and upholds accountability for team
Ensures employee needs are met including tools to do job. Communicates needs and follows up on requests
Attends weekly operational meetings and communicates messages to create alignment with hotel strategic plan
Fosters strong relationships with departments within the resort
What you bring:
Two to three years of previous experience in a supervisory or assistant manager position in Food & Beverage.
Excellent reading, writing & oral proficiency in the English language
Exceptional knowledge of food and beverage (wine, beer and spirits).
Wine certification and great Spirit knowledge.
Persuasive verbal and written sales instincts and rapport-building skills
Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control and experience in managing a team
Successful candidates must possess legal work authorization in the United States
