BG Communication Apprentice

The Communications Apprentice will support the Interiors Communication Team in executing both internal and external communication strategies. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of corporate communications, including content creation, social media management, event coordination, and media relations. The apprentice will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and assist in ensuring that company messaging is consistent, clear, and aligned with organizational goals.

Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Content Creation:

Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading communication materials such as newsletters, press releases, blog posts, and internal announcements.
Support the creation of visual content, including presentations, infographics, and videos, to enhance messaging.
Collaborate with team members to generate content ideas that resonate with target audiences.


Social Media Management:

Help manage the company's social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and analyzing performance metrics.
Support the creation and curation of content for social media platforms that align with the brand's tone and values.
Assist in responding to comments and messages, fostering community engagement.


Internal Communications:

Assist in the development and dissemination of internal communications to keep employees informed about company news, updates, and events.
Help coordinate internal events such as town halls, staff meetings, and employee engagement initiatives.
Gather feedback from employees to improve internal communication efforts.


Event Coordination:

Provide logistical support for corporate events, conferences, product launches, and media briefings.
Assist in coordinating event details, including venue selection, vendor management, and communications material preparation.
Support the team in promoting events across various platforms and following up with post-event communications.


Media Relations:

Help maintain media lists and assist with press outreach and media engagement.
Monitor news outlets for relevant company mentions and industry trends.
Assist in preparing press kits and media briefs for interviews or events.


Research & Reporting:

Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging communication tools or technologies.
Assist in preparing reports on communication campaign performance, including metrics on reach, engagement, and ROI.
Support team members in measuring the impact of communication strategies and identifying areas for improvement.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Key Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
Familiarity with social media platforms and an understanding of their role in corporate communication.
Basic knowledge of content creation tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, or Canva is a plus.
Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities.
