BI CAE Ford Champ

As a BI CAE Ford Champ, you will document and follow up CAE quality accuracy documents to understand level of correlation between CAE and laboratory testing for head impact upper  and side curtain airbag deployment. Support CAE analysis in Ford and Lincoln components in order to support and establish modeling guidelines to achieve good CAE correlation with physical testing.

What you´ll need:

Active student from any of the last 4 semesters of Engineering Degree. 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening)Strong analytical and communication skills Good engineering fundamentals such as solid mechanics, thermoplastic materials and manufacturing processes (focus in injection molding)Knowledge of CAE (LS-Dyna, Abaqus, Nastran, Hypermesh, nCode, ANSA and/or other commercially available FEA program is desirable)Knowledge in programming language is a plus (preferred TCL/ TK, Python)Knowledge of CAD                                     High capacity for analysis and root cause findingExcellent organization with assignmentsPassion to overcome challenges and keep learning.                                                                     Excellent people skills and the ability to interface with several teams

 What you´ll do:

Create power point presentations to record and understand failures in laboratory tests where CAE was not predicting failure.Keep up date CAE quality accuracy documentsDetermine root cause of issues applying the appropriate engineering and quality toolsArrange/participate in meetings to better understand failures with relevant stakeholdersBuild CAE models (meshing, setting and running). With special focus head impact upper and side curtain airbag deploymentMake correlation studies between CAE and physical testingBill of Materials creation for every CAE modelInterpretation of CAE model results and preparation of clear information to share with core and technical specialist engineersDevelop and communicate "lessons learned" and “best practices”Be a team player and team work with different offices and people from different cultures
