2020 Companies is seeking a results-driven Data Analyst to lead data quality initiatives and ensure that data is of high quality after ingestion and ready for use by BI developers. You will work closely with clients to understand their data needs, transforming complex data to create actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will catalog the data quality issues and improve data quality. You will follow up with data sources to eliminate the root causes of data issues. The role involves managing the full lifecycle of data quality projects and collaborating with BI engineers to ensure that developed dashboards perfectly align with client specifications.

Job Description:

Data Quality Management: 

Lead initiatives to maintain and improve data quality after ingestion. 

Identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring data is accurate, complete, and reliable. 

Collaborate with data sources to address and eliminate root causes of data problems. 

Client Engagement: 

Work closely with clients to understand their data needs and requirements. 

Translate client requirements into data needs. 

Provide clients with clear and concise reports on data quality. 

Educate and coach the clients on how they can improve data quality from upstream sources. 

Data Quality Project Management: 

Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data quality projects, from requirements gathering to delivery and post-implementation support. 

Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality data solutions. 

Orchestrate internal teams, including BI engineers, data analysts, and IS to align project goals and deliverables. 

Data Preparation and Analysis: 

Prepare and analyze complex data sets to ensure readiness for actionable insights and trends. 

Ensure data is ready for use by BI developers to create dashboards and reports. 

Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all data sources and outputs. 

Collaboration and Communication: 

Work closely with BI analysts, developers, and data engineers to ensure data meets client specifications. 

Facilitate regular project meetings, providing status updates and addressing any issues or risks. 

Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle. 

Qualifications: 

 Education:  

Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. 

Certifications in data quality management preferred. 

Experience:  

Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role focused on data quality.  

Strong understanding of data quality management and experience in automating data cleansing and prep. 

Literacy in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL).  

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. 

Technical Skills: 

Proficiency in data analysis and preparation, and automation of data prep. 

Strong knowledge of database management and SQL querying. 

Experience with project management methodologies and tools. 

Analytical Mindset:  

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.  

You can quickly identify patterns, trends, and anomalies from complex data sets. 

 

Client Focus:  

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  

Ability to stay calm under pressure and translate client requirements into technical specifications and deliver user-friendly solutions.  

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.  

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.  

Proactive and Detail-Oriented:  

Self-starter and fast learner with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.  

You have meticulous attention to detail and focus on delivering high-quality results.  

While you’ll have experience with project management methodologies and tools, preference will be given to those proficient with agile methods.
