Job Description

As a BI Developer Co-Op, you’ll design and develop interactive dashboards that provide actionable business insights. You will work closely with the data team and stakeholders to understand business requirements, transforming complex data into easy-to-understand visuals that empower decision-makers across the company. You will also be the lead BI developer helping to drive consistency in utilizing industry best practices and acting as a mentor for the data team and stakeholders.

WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL BE;

Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for key business areas using Power BIPerform detailed analysis on tested and deployed Power BI report and scripts and utilize themContinuously optimize Power BI solutions to enhance performance and usabilityCollaborate with various teams to ensure data is integrated seamlessly from multiple sourcesCreate technical documentation, design wireframes for dashboards, and develop semantic modelsParticipate in System Integration Testing with architects and developers, while also supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by resolving defects promptly during the processStay updated with the latest Power BI features and innovations to deliver cutting-edge solutionsConduct user training to maximize adoption and empower teams to use self-serve analyticsLog defects/issues in Azure DevOps and follow up with the development teamCollaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and transform data into engaging, user-friendly reports

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;

Project or Coop experience in developing Power BI dashboards and reportsAn understanding of data visualization best practices to create clear and actionable insightsStrong analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutionsProficiency in DAX, SQL, and data modeling in Power BIExperience in developing and maintaining Row-level security (RLS), and object-level security (OLS) a plusExperience in data transformation, integration (cloud-based solutions), and the Microsoft Fabric stack (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Data Factory Azure Synapse, Synapse Data Warehouse) a plusKnowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and applied experience with data-related projectsExperience in communicating with both business and technical teamsSelf-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentA team player, and initiator, with the ability to manage complex tasks and prioritiesBilingual proficiency in spoken and written French is an asset
