The Data Analyst collaborates with business experts and engineers to operationalize business processes through data, supporting integration and warehousing projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Write SQL scripts to analyze, validate, or correct data, including complex stored procedures, views, and functions, using Azure SQL. Perform data extraction, mining, and profiling activities, leveraging Azure SQL and Power BI. Profile data sets for completeness and validity and build automated SQL scripts to assess these metrics, utilizing Azure SQL. Analyze and pull data, measure, monitor, review, and troubleshoot data quality issues using SQL and Azure SQL. Collaborate with business experts, analysts, data modelers, and engineers to complete source-to-target data mappings with detailed transformations for data integration and warehousing projects, using Azure DevOps for project management and deployment. Convert datasets from various file formats (Excel, Access, SQL, ASCII, text files) into analytic datasets, and visualize them using Power BI. Support the development and modification of databases, data warehouses, data marts, and business intelligence solutions to meet business and system requirements, utilizing Azure SQL and Power BI. Ensure data accuracy and high quality through technical expertise, including the use of Azure SQL. Conduct data quality assessments and audits to identify issues and inconsistencies, using Power BI for reporting. Develop and implement data quality standards, policies, and procedures, with support from Azure DevOps for version control and deployment. Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to resolve data quality issues, using Azure DevOps for tracking and managing tasks. Monitor data quality metrics and report on trends using Power BI. Perform root cause analysis of data quality problems and recommend corrective actions, leveraging Azure SQL. Maintain and update data quality documentation and guidelines, using Azure DevOps for documentation management. Support data governance initiatives and ensure compliance with data quality standards, utilizing Azure DevOps for governance tracking. Provide training and support to team members on data quality best practices, including the use of Power BI, Azure SQL, and Azure DevOps. Education Bachelor of Computer Science, MIS or equivalent degree. Skills & Experience 5+ years of relevant experience with SQL, Azure SQL, Power BI, Azure DevOps, Excel, and database mapping techniques. Advanced skills in data analytics, mining, profiling, and validation, with experience in Power BI. Strong understanding of data quality concepts and familiarity with data quality tools and methods, including Azure SQL. Experience in Agile/SCRUM methodologies, with proficiency in Azure DevOps.
