Bi-Lingual Science Translation Manager (English-Spanish)

Description
ICF is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bi-Lingual Science Translation Manager to join our team and contribute to the management, development and dissemination of cancer information summaries in both English and Spanish. This role requires a strong background in scientific writing, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex medical information into clear and accessible content for both health professionals and the general public.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Supervise translation team and coordinate with consultant translators
+ Oversee QA on translations and monitor team progress and tasks.
+ Coordinate with staff to prioritize translation projects and allocate tasks.
+ Translate cancer information summaries and Cancer Terms into Spanish.
+ Translate other cancer content as requested and administer Spanish content in the Trados/World Server translation memory system.
+ Translate treatment, supportive care, screening, and prevention into Spanish.
+ Assist in the addition of summaries on new topics and the translation of additional summaries into Spanish.
+ Translate cancer terms and definitions into Spanish and keep them synchronized with their English counterparts.
+ Collaborate with biomedical illustrators and animation developers to accurately translate multimedia content
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's or advanced degree in a scientific discipline, journalism, or a related field.
+ 5+ year’s in Spanish translation, particularly in the medical or healthcare field.
+ 3+ years of coordination experience, managing staff and Spanish translation projects.
+ Familiarity with ISO 17100 standards for translation services
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
+ Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, accessible language.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with a team of experts and stakeholders.
**Preferred skills**
+ Experience with cancer-related terminology
+ Expertise in using translation management systems such as WorldServer and Trados
+ Familiarity with ISO 17100 standards for translation services
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.

**Pay Range** - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$88,817.00 - $150,989.00
