BI Strategy Research Associate

We’re looking for a BI Strategy Associate to support both the ESG Strategy and Equity Strategy teams in managing data analysis, constructing models, as well as conducting investment research at market, index, fund, thematic level assessing industries and stock implications focusing on both accounting-based themes and ESG-based themes.
We'll trust you to: Actively contribute to the team’s daily research activities (i.e. data, written research, idea generation) and ensure adherence to global quality standards Monitor and interpret major index, funds and company developments and identify/assess market implications, macro themes and trends Handle management and modeling of large data sets, including aggregation and calculation of fundamental series for indices, themes, sectors and industries Develop and maintain relationships with external users and internal departments throughout Bloomberg including data and core business groups to develop and improve content and functionality across the terminal Interact with clients via our online messaging systems. Participate in department-wide special projects Help support marketing and promotional strategy – including newsletter and other channels including potentially podcasts
You'll need to have: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably with a focus or concentration in Finance, Mathematics or related degree Research experience in equity strategy, with genuine interest in developing career in market/macro research Proven excellence in managing and modeling large data sets, with high interest in progressive learning of new quantitative analysis Excellent excel skills with attention to details and high standards in data quality Coding skills with modeling experience in Python Excellent written communication and presentation skills, track record of collaboration with team Knowledge of equity markets, equity portfolios management, fund analysis and quantitative investment strategyFamiliarity with sustainable finance/ESG - markets, concepts and themes (including climate) An understanding of advanced concept and practices of finance/accounting Strong organization skills and capable of handling multiple projects An ability to meet deadlines, logically tackle problems and set prioritiesProficiency in both spoken and written EnglishDemonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
We'd love to see: A Master's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Accounting, MBA, or related field 1-2 years of sell-side experience in equity strategy with understanding of ESG analysis Progress toward or achievement of CFA designation or equivalent Previous work experience with the Bloomberg Terminal.
