Bid - Communication Manager

We are seeking an experienced Bid – Communication manager to join our dynamic team in WTW – Belgium. As a Bid manager, you will be responsible for supporting the bid management process together with the involved account manager, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, winning proposals to potential clients.
You will manage and develop bids in response to offensive or defensive RFP’s from prospects and customers, designing and driving our approach to client/prospect presentations, co-ordinating the team and managing contributions from all stakeholders.

In addition to your bid management tasks, you will also support the sales team in the roll-out of their commercial projects and communications to their target customers and prospects and in the preparation of presentations. Previous experience of working in the insurance sector would be an advantage and proficiency with software packages including MS Word, XL and PowerPoint is essential.

The Role

Take responsibility over the upcoming bids and JAP of the strategic accounts; Gain an understanding of the requirements of our clients and potential clients and draw upon this insight to create compelling propositions together with the involved account manager; Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as the Sales, brokers, R&A and Glob teams to gather relevant information, insights, and data necessary for bid development; Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and act as a primary point of contact and trusted project management advisor throughout the bidding process (pre and post-bid); Designing Presentation materials (placemats, trifold’s and PowerPoints) and leading and coaching the presentation team; Developing and contributing to a best practice library of content – improving the efficiency of information sharing across the team, to develop the best documents; Working alongside the sales team leader to implement best practices and processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the bid management function;

The Requirements

Previous experience of Bid Management within the insurance sector is an advantage; Understanding of insurance products, market trends, and competitor landscape within the brokerage sector; High level Competency on all key MS applications including Word, XL & PowerPoint – knowledge of specialist design software is an advantage; Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, driving collaboration and achieving common objectives; Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch, French and English with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and persuasive manner; Good organisational skills – ability to work to deadlines and to manage other people; A proactive and can-do approach;  The ability to multi-task, handle pressure and switch from one project to another; The ability to appropriately challenge others and to think creatively.
