Bid Desk Proposal SOLUTION MANAGER

The operations team consists of both onshore and offshore members, working in an integrated and agile manner on a day-to-day basis. We are looking for an architect who will play an important role as part of this successful team and take an active role in leading the organization.

 

Your job in a nutshell:

 

To create competitive, innovative, winning solutions to meet customer requirements.

To align customer requirements with Atos portfolio offerings, and where there are gaps, to create new innovative solutions.

Bid Desk Proposal Solution Manager is engaged to support the wider bid team, specifically supporting the solution manager in creating a winning response.

The Bid Desk Proposal Solution Manager forms part of a solution team assigned to one or more deals and is responsible for their own solution element(s).

The Bid Desk Proposal Solution Manager is accountable for assigned solution elements prior to delivery handover and works to exceed the client’s expectation, within the overall deal construct.

 

What will you be doing:

 

Analyzes customer business needs for own area of expertise and uses industry best practice to develop most optimal solution for clients.

For the area they are accountable for within a bid (eg. EUC, Hosting, Network) has total responsibility for all elements – i.e. Architecture, Service, Security, Cost, 3rd Parties, Transition and Transformation and Risk.

Robust understanding of breadth of Atos Portfolio Options (both local and global), as well as alternative non-portfolio options, future offerings and what the competitive approach / market best options are.

Works with procurement to effectively engage with 3rd parties (Procurement manages, SA leads & directs).

Constructively challenges – internally and with the customer.

Produces exceptional customer facing documents, with ability to draft (not just re-use) content, presentations and proposals.

Engages and actively enhances customer sessions both formal and informal.

Supports contract negotiations especially around all technical parts (incl. cost impact) of own area of expertise.

 

Requirements:

 

Deep expertise in at least one solution area eg, end user computing, infrastructure, networking, mainframe and or security.  

Excellent understanding of Transition and Transformation approaches, for their own area of expertise.

Ability to design and solution, working within a defined cost envelope.

Ability to support contract negotiations on solution elements (incl. cost impact).

Ability to coordinate activities with suppliers, and teams supporting bid activities (procurement, proposal, costs).

Team working in a time pressured environment.
