**A Snapshot of Your Day** As a Bid Manager, you will play a key role in the preparation of Technical and Commercial Proposals for Compression New Equipment. You will also be involved in supporting the organization in project closing and Client opportunity discussions. You will develop technical solutions using Siemens Energy application tools and processes. In addition, you will also develop commercial offerings within the pricing guidelines and commercial governance requirements of Siemens Energy. This is a unique opportunity to work as part of a global team that develops technical solutions and written proposals that meet or exceed client requirements, position us favorably against our competition, resulting in winning new business for Siemens Energy to develop revenue that directly impacts business growth. **How You’ll Make an Impact** + Review and interpret client requisitions and specifications for new equipment in various energy applications. + Develop Siemens Energy equipment selections using aerodynamic, thermodynamic, rotor dynamic, material, and package selection tools. + Prepare sub-vendor buyout RFQs, engage and negotiate with sub-vendors to create mutually beneficial client solutions. + Work with various departments to identify and quantify risks, develop mitigating actions, and prepare technical/execution risk assessments. + Lead or contribute to internal bid strategy discussions and external clarifications meetings, providing input on technical and value advantages of Siemens Energy products and services. + Ensure technical and commercial proposals developed for clients meet Siemens Energy's standards for quality, completeness, and timeliness. **What You Bring** + Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Petrochemical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent work experience with at least 3 years in a relevant role. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level. + Experience in roles such as Application/Proposals Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Process Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Engineer, or Commissioning/Field Engineer, focusing on turbomachinery or related rotating equipment. + Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. + Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills. + Ability to work effectively with global teams and a keen awareness of internal and external clients. + Willingness to travel up to 20% globally for project presentations, bid clarifications, training, and kick-off meetings, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering programs.
