Overview Our Public Sector and Education team are looking for a Bid and Review Manager to help support them on their delivery of internal projects and business proposal for both new and existing clients and for when organisations tender for their insurance requirements. We are looking for someone with previous bid experience or someone who has worked within the Public Sector/Education industry as an insurance broker or insurance purchaser (Insurance Officer or Manager). This is a home based role with occasional travel into UK based offices. How you'll make an impact Key requirements will include the planning, managing, and writing new business and defensive broker tender responses. This role involves establishing project timetables, structures, roles, and support requirements, ensuring documentation adheres to compliance, legal, and marketing protocols. The Bid Writer will produce quality responses that clearly answer the questions posed and manage the inception and initiation of each bid project. Key Responsibilities: Bid Planning and Execution: Oversee the end-to-end bid process from planning, coordination, and execution of bid activities to ensure timely and accurate submissions. Proposal Development: Craft compelling and competitive proposals that meet client requirements and highlight the company's strengths. Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including sales, servicing, broking, claims, and legal, to prepare, review, and submit cohesive bid responses. Process Optimisation: Continuously seek ways to streamline the bid process and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Content Management: Contribute to the maintenance of bid content, including templates, case studies, and standard responses to ensure consistency and quality in all submissions. Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on the performance of submitted bids, including feedback from clients and stakeholders. Sales Support: Collaborate with the Public Sector and Education sales team to develop sales materials that support the overall sales process. About You Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple bids simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and deliver impactful presentation documentation. Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, managing relationships and expectations. Compliance and Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure bid documents are error-free and compliant. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint: Advanced skills in creating, formatting, and editing documents and presentations, including the use of templates, styles, and design elements to produce professional and visually appealing bid materials. Content Maintenance: Contribute to the ongoing organisation and update of a centralised content library, ensuring all bid-related materials, templates, and case studies are accurate and easily accessible. Essential Experience: Bid/Project Management Experience: proven experience in managing the end-to-end bid process, including proposal writing, presentation development, and stakeholder management. This could also include being involved in the bid process as an insurance purchaser within the Public Sector/Education industry. Industry Knowledge: Technical insurance experience is required, with Public Sector and Education knowledge preferred. Candidates from an insurance broking and account management background with an interest in project management are encouraged to apply. Good knowledge of general insurance products, services, and underlying legal principles and practices relating to risk within the role capacity. Desirable Experience: Graphic Design Capabilities: Proven ability to create visually appealing and effective designs for various digital and print media. Developing creative concepts and producing high-quality graphics that align with the company's brand identity. Design Software: Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Strong understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout techniques. Understanding of procurement rules & regulations and Public Sector procurement portals – however training is available. Eligibility Requirements: Eligible to work in the UK. Office travel may be required from time to time, albeit infrequent, as this is a home-based position.
