Location: Birmingham - Hybrid working two days per week in the office
Package: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum + Up to 12% Pension, Health Care, and other Flexible benefits

Role Purpose
The role of the role of Bid Writer is to take ownership of the tendering process on behalf of the business. With responsibility for writing persuasive and effective tender content; the successful candidate will ensure that internal governance and best practice is identified and embedded, liaising with appropriate colleagues in BV network as required
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Implementation of BV Commercial Strategy through ownership of the end-to-end bid process for contract opportunities on behalf of the business Identification of opportunities through effective use of relevant portals and other proactive activities; working towards targets Production of persuasive content for bids, ensuring Bureau Veritas is positioned as supplier of choice Liaison with internal and external stakeholders in order to communicate requirements, deadlines and expectations, identify and co-ordinate all required materials and to ensure bids are submitted on time, with consistency, and in a professional manner Updating and influencing key stakeholders on the progress of bids, and reporting to the Bid Manager Maintaining data integrity and health of the CRM to include meta data such as Nace code Support the UK Bid No Bid (Go / No Go) process and all related sub processes Supporting the production of proposal templates, consistency and revisions extending to all aspects of bid content including report look and feel Continued management of Bureau Veritas bid portfolio Developing and maintaining a library of standard materials to ensure quick and professional submission of ITT, PQQ and bid submission Supporting with the identification of opportunities through trackers and portals
Experience & Skills Required:
Broad experience of working on strategic proposals in a Formal Bid/Tender Setting, ideally gained in a fast paced consultancy environment Exposure to private sector bids and tenders within depth knowledge of relevant portals would be highly desirable Experience of proactively identifying commercial opportunities and ownership of tenders from end to end Demonstrable communication and client presentation skills Diligence and attention to detail A broad awareness and understanding of compliance and risk-based products and services Solution driven approach, strategic thinking and negotiation skills Capacity to interact and influence at different levels of the organization
Qualifications Required:
Ideally educated to degree level, or equivalent
