Location: Various Locations, NY Category: Professional Posted On: Thu Aug 1 2024 Job Description: Empire State University seeks a full-time Bilingual Enrollment and Partnership Outreach Officer (Bilingual EPOO) in the Office of Enrollment Management and Marketing. The Bilingual Enrollment and Partnership Outreach Officer (State Title: Senior Staff Assistant) manages recruitment outreach for non-degree seeking prospective students (prospects) and our Spanish Language Program prospects, applicants, and newly accepted students by providing guidance about our university, our course offerings, and the registration process. The selected incumbent will be responsible to meet application, acceptance, and enrollment targets; is expected to generate leads and ensure contact with individuals who express interest in Empire State University; possess the ability to provide excellent customer service in a high-paced multi-channel environment; build strategic community relationships and coordinate recruitment events; provide important insights and recommendations based on their data and experience; demonstrate skills to effectively identify, analyze and resolve inquiries received; have strong working knowledge of functional office policies and procedures; and work proactively across university departments to remove administrative barriers to enrollment and improve university-wide student services. Duties and responsibilities include: + Create, implement, and deliver a recruitment plan that will meet application, acceptance, and enrollment targets for the Spanish Language Program. + Support non-degree seeking prospects by providing guidance throughout the prospect to applicant lifecycle. + Identify and implement processes that effectively respond to event attendees, walk ins, phone calls and CRM leads from prospective students to convert from inquiry to applicant and applicant to accepted student. + Plan, participate in, and deliver information sessions that meets the need of prospective students. + Represent SUNY Empire at conferences and other functions as it pertains to enrollment management. + Collaborate with the Office of Partnerships in the stewardship of partnerships and the recruitment of students from new and existing partners. This includes providing input, data, and ideas for enrollment growth. + Participate in recruitment travel as needed, representing SUNY Empire at college and career fairs and partnership information sessions, and conducting on-site and virtual presentations for prospective students and/or advisors. Plan and participate in on-campus and off-campus outreach events. + Consistently conduct follow-up meetings with all existing community colleges and partner organizations to ensure successful enrollment growth and strength. + Maintain telephone and electronic contact and initiate correspondence with potential new partners and other key connections, including appropriate and consistent follow-up in coordination with the partnership office. + Utilize enrollment data to evaluate and adjust recruitment plan on an ongoing basis. + Schedule recruitment team meetings with regional partners across the Office of Enrollment Management. + Secure new inquiries by directly asking phone and in-person contacts about referrals of others to contact that may be interested in SUNY Empire. + Provide Spanish language translation assistance to the Recruitment team. + Develop and maintain a culture that supports teamwork, student success and the mission of integrated enrollment services. Job Requirements: Required Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. + Valid driver's license. + Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish and English. + Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication skills. + Effective listening, probing and assessment skills. + Experience working with data to analyze and evaluate outcomes. + Experience working with a diverse student population. + Demonstrated ability to collaborate in team-driven environment. Preferred Qualifications: + Master's degree. + A minimum of two years of experience in higher education, business or non-profit; related to marketing, communications, recruitment, admissions, development, or student affairs. + Experience in adult and non-traditional education. + Experience with CRM and other data management tools. + Prior knowledge of and experience in working with bilingual and emergent bilingual learners, particularly in online settings. + Prior experience working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse linguistic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Special Information: + May involve occasional travel to university locations across New York State. + Candidates must have the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. + Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. + SUNY Empire provides employees with robust remote and flexible work environment to meet the needs of students, faculty, and staff in a dispersed work environment. Various university locations throughout New York State may also be considered. Additional Information: Rank/Salary: SL3 / $55,500-$60,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.
