Position Overview:
As a Human Resources (HR) Advisor at Siemens, your primary focus will be on providing expert coaching, counseling, and advisory services to management and employees across various human resources matters. This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance your professional growth in human resources, including exposure to labour relations within a unionized environment. By fostering effective communication and implementing HR initiatives, you will contribute to a harmonious and efficient workplace.
What will you do?
Employee Support: Assist employees with inquiries about policies, benefits, and procedures, such as maternity leave options and separation packages. Managerial Guidance: Advise managers on addressing people-related topics, ensuring alignment with Siemens policies and local labor laws. Employee Relations: Investigate and resolve complex issues concerning working conditions and interpersonal relationships, including terminations. Data Management: Oversee data and documentation handling at a local level as required. HR Initiatives and Projects: Implement local HR activities and projects in alignment with HR Business Partners requirements. Education and Training: Educate managers and employees on best practices for utilizing HR-related resources and services. Labour Relations Exposure: Participate in activities related to labour relations, including understanding collective bargaining agreements, and supporting HR Business Partners with all related activities.What will you need to succeed?
Degree in HR relevant field or equivalent, i.e. Professional Human Resources certification 2- 4 years of professional experience in HR or in a related business function Experience with relevant HR systems e.g. Fusion, MS Office, Copilot, ChatGPT, Power BI apps, Workday, etc. Ability to work autonomously, managing time and priorities Professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information Strong coaching and presentation skills Flexibility to travel to other locations in Quebec as required The successful candidate for this position must be bilingual. Fluency in French and English (verbal and written) is required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position for the following reason: The role requires regular interactions with Siemens colleagues based outside of Quebec, nationally and internationally.About us.
