Salary: $26.10/ hour Schedule: 9AM-4:45PM, Monday- Friday Location: Hempstead, NY Reports to: Supervisor What drives the core purpose of this job: The Bilingual Intake Counselor assists the Career Counselors in administrative and clerical duties. What are the key responsibilities: + Manage paperwork and keep record of customers’ personal documents + Ensure that all registration forms are properly signed and filed + Appropriately handle customers’ personally identifiable information + Answers inquiry calls and emails from prospective customers + Perform data entry and related clerical work + Attend staff webinars, workshops, and training + Refer customers to partner agencies based on their individual needs What key knowledge, skills, and abilities are required to excel in this role: + High school diploma or educational equivalent required. + Bi-lingual (English/Creole) required. + Minimum of two years of relevant work experience required; experience using the One-Stop Operating System (OSOS) preferred. + Must have access to automobile and possess valid Driver's License. + Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. + Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.
