The Bilingual Visitation Coordinator is responsible for conducting the daily operations of their assigned visitation center. These operations include setting up and running activities, scheduling visitation, and supervising visits between children and caregivers. 

 

The Visitation Coordinator will be supporting both our San Francisco and Antioch locations and will be splitting time between both programs.

 

ABOUT FIRST STOP VISITATION CENTER

The First Stop Visitation Center provides services to children and parents who are referred by San Francisco Department of Family and Children’s Services who are working toward reunification. The program hosts the visits on site and is designed to provide opportunities for parents to build parental capacity, strengthen family relationships, and increase successful reunification and permanency outcomes.

Responsibilities Assist in the orientation of families to the visitation centerCommunicate to families the proper visit procedures prior to the initial visitation meetingAssist in setting up a visitation plan and schedule with each enrolled familyObserve and assist visitation monitorsTrack and monitor the progress of families and individuals receiving servicesCollect and apply data to improve client outcomesAssist in other program data collection and data entryReview and sign observation reportsKeep relevant county workers informed of progress and problemsMaintain appropriate channel of communication with county partners, attorneys, the courts, and other concerned parties in order to have effective and efficient service delivery through collaborationAttend and assist with initial and on-going training for staff utilizing a team approach in skills building for working with at-risk clientsKeep training schedule and records for all staff and volunteers ensuring training complianceAssist with special events and projects that enhance the operations of the visitation centerSupport and enhance the staff's ability to perform their jobs by teaching and modeling:Technical knowledge and skillsWork management and communication skillsConflict management skillsUtilize crisis communication and de-escalation techniques as per Seneca's EQ-4 model training. Qualifications

REQUIRED

Education/Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree ORAssociates degree or equivalent +1 year of applicable experience ORHigh School Diploma/GED + 2 years of applicable experienceApplicable experience can include paid or unpaid experience working with youth or families, or working in the social services fieldAt least 21 years of ageBilingual in English/Spanish.TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirementsValid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies' insurance policyOwn vehicle and current automobile insuranceProof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination
