Billing Analyst
Job Title: Billing Analyst Job Description This role involves joining the Advisor Relations and Billing Team, which ensures appropriate selling agreements are in place with new and existing financial advisor firms and facilitates payments to these firms and other business partners. The Billing team manages all aspects of fee billing, including fee calculation, validation, debiting/crediting, reconciliation, reporting, maintenance, and payment facilitation to Financial Advisor Firms, Financial Advisors, and Strategists. The team handles 4 quarterly cycles and 12 monthly billing cycles annually. Responsibilities + Manage and coordinate monthly and/or quarterly billing tasks + Process and oversee 3rd party/partner payment processes, such as Marketing Support/Premier BD payments + Prepare daily 3rd party custodian fee account reconciliation + Perform daily peer review/QC of billing maintenance requests + Work closely with other teams to deliver complex analysis and reporting requests + Implement and review negotiated fee agreements + Provide subject matter expertise to business partners and support the introduction or enhancement of products and services + Continuously upgrade billing standard operating procedures + Identify and collaborate with technology partners on system and process improvements + Prepare monthly team metrics and daily team dashboard + Generate and deliver invoices and billing statements for AssetMark Retirement Plan + Monitor the quarterly plan-level revenue collection process for AssetMark Retirement Plans + Ensure all billing follow-up procedures are completed within established timelines for AssetMark Retirement Plans + Proactively identify gaps or challenges in processes that require change and follow through on solutions from beginning to end Essential Skills + Strong Excel skills, including Vlookup and pivot tables + Experience in accounting and billing + Knowledge of financial services, particularly in billing systems and invoice processing + Experience in wealth management, banking, and reconciliation + Understanding of finance and finance management + Experience with SaaS billing Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in the financial services industry or financial product knowledge + Experience with retirement-related products is a plus + Experience in the SaaS billing or financial services or banking industry preferred Work Environment This is a hybrid role with work-from-home days on Monday and Friday, and on-site presence required from Tuesday to Thursday. Start times are flexible, between 7:30am-8am. You will be working closely with the Billing department as well as directly with Relationship Managers and Advisors. Collaboration with other Advisor Services teams is essential, requiring excellent communication and a team player attitude.
