Reporting directly into the GFS Lead and working together with Billing operations, Contract to Order (C2O) team, sales and the wider business, The holder of this role will work to assist with reconciliation of revenue from a billing stand point, revenue recognition stand point and ensure controls are created and followed / adhered to. This includes reviews of Accruals and Deferrals on the balance sheet.

The aim is simple "Financial Excellence" in EFX Billing, Revenue recognition, Controls and Reporting. This role also involves building relationships and working closely with the sales teams. Working as part of a dynamic finance team to achieve very tight deadlines within a SOX compliant environment. The successful candidate will be fully qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA. Previous experience of using the Oracle Financials system and of having worked for a US listed organisation would be advantageous.

What you’ll do

Contribute to revenue accounting monthly close and collaborating with the operational finance and commercial teams to deliver accurate numbers

Ensure accuracy and completeness of tasks performed by the team and ensure deadlines are met for team tasks and project work

Utilise advanced analytical tools and techniques to analyse large datasets for revenue reconciliations

Continuously review and challenge Finance processes and activities from a control perspective, bringing forward improvements and recommendations

Support and review of significant system automation, including key controls

Partner with our BI team to drive continuous improvement in reporting of business performance, both in real time as well as for month end reporting

Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to enhance revenue growth and challenge new deals commercially from a finance perspective

Assist in the preparation of monthly and ad-hoc reports

Resolve customer queries and complaints

Produce month end billing analysis and ensure all revenue leakage gaps are identified and plugged.

Ensure all controls implemented are tested and outcomes reviewed monthly

What experience you need

Advanced user of sheets (Excel, Google Sheets) and comfortable with setting out models and using it for streamlining processes and driving accounting processes

Experienced user of BI systems, preferably Tableau, or similar systems like Power BI

Demonstrated focus on continuous improvement, and adapting to new ways of working

Strong planning and problem-solving skills

Strong written, verbal and presentation skills

Manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency, while meeting deadlines.

Remain calm and composed during challenging times and uncertainty.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

Self motivated, team player who is able to also work under own initiative

Proficiency in data analysis tools and software
