Resource Innovations is currently seeking a Billing Assistant / Associate Project Accountant to support billing and project set-up for its US-based business units. This position will be based at our corporate office in Half Moon Bay and will report to the Project Accounting Manager.
This person will be responsible for project set-up within the accounting; billing clients for Software sales, Time & Materials and Fixed Price contracts, and other support as required. This generally includes but is not limited to contract and project set-up, update and maintain project information and budgets within the project accounting system which will result in sound project management; and prepare appropriate client invoices. He/she will also work with the business unit Project Managers in the collection of the outstanding receivables.

Duties and Responsibilities
Contract and Project Setup: Review contract terms and set up/close projects, review and confirm revenue and billing formulas in Oracle accounting system Invoice preparation: Generate and issue invoices accurately and timely for products and services rendered. Data Entry: Maintain accurate records of transactions, billing, and payments in the accounting software. Customer Communication: Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries, payment terms, and outstanding balances. Account Reconciliation: Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in billing and payments. Assist Audits: Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits. Show initiative, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing required changes Other duties as assigned.
