Description An established downtown law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Accounting/Billing Clerk to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting and bookkeeping, with prior experience in a law firm setting highly preferred. Responsibilities: + Perform basic accounting and bookkeeping functions, including accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), reconciliation, back-up, and audit processes + Conduct conflicts checks and assist with new matter setup + Manage client billing, including preparation and maintenance of reports and analytics + Oversee collection reports and actively conduct collection efforts + Communicate professionally with firm personnel, clients, vendors, and third parties + Utilize and maintain software applications for word processing, document management, spreadsheets, databases, timekeeping, and forms programs Requirements + Experience supporting a busy civil litigation and estate planning practice is a plus. + Experience in accounting, billing, and collections; previous law firm accounting experience is highly preferred + Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills + Ability to balance multiple priorities with attention to detail and good judgment + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of professionalism + Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team setting + Experience with Coyote Analytics/SurePoint accounting and billing software is a plus (training will be provided) + Bachelor’s degree with an accounting focus preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
