The Billing Coordinator is located in Etobicoke, ON and typically reports directly to the Project Cost Control Supervisor.
The Billing Coordinator will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
Cost controlAssist in coding and reconciling payments to JD EdwardsAccurate invoicing of customers, therefore reducing the number of complaints from customers regarding billing errorsPreparing of documentation to assist Accounts Receivable/Payable (e.g., Invoices, Purchase Orders, etc.)Timely review, printing, and delivery of invoicesCoordinate other team members (e.g. other billing people’s tasks)Assist with monthly job forecast updatesEngage partners in billing, A/R management, and collections activitiesAssist the manager in planning and schedulingKnowledge of financial dataManage client calls and emails in a polite and efficient mannerAbility to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced, and changing environmentAdministrative documentation control—photocopy and collate documents for distribution, mailing, and filingOther duties as assignedCOMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

Post-secondary education in a related field is an assetWORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1–3 years’ experience in accounting and/or relevant financial management experience (e.g., billing, A/R management, etc.)SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Basic understanding of end-to-end financial processes including a numerical aptitudeSelf-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesEffective written and verbal communication skillsProven interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsJD Edwards experience an assetIntermediate Excel is an assetAbility to work with PDF documentsDemonstrates a commitment to providing excellent client service by building and maintaining productive relationships with both internal and external clientsAbility to work well under pressureDemonstrates ability to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced, and changing environmentAbility to work independently and with minimal directionPlease be advised that a Criminal Background Check and Professional Reference Check will be required as part of our employment screening and selection process.
