Short Description Responsible for auditing the Clinical documentation from the patient's operative record against the preference card to verify a match. The object of this audit is for 100% compliance with Clinical documentation.Responsible for reconciling consignment items used during the operative procedure match the vendor billing statements along with all the Clinical documentation.  This Coordinator gives the approval for the issuance of a Purchase Order for Consignment items.Responsible for reviewing clinical documentation of patient charges, approving and entering specialty items for charging purposes. Working with clinical staff on OR inventory items and maintaining the Preference Cards for the departments within the Perioperative Division. Assists Material Management to ensure all implants products are properly documented for billing purposes. Assists the Perioperative Business Manager on financial projects, OR system functions and data security. Acts as a resource for clinical staff in documentation education and training.  Assists as needed with the various functions required within the OR Business Office. Experience Required Experience with a complex billing system such IDX or SMS is required.Experience in accounts receivables resolution is required.Computer and financial management experience required.  Education Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent required, some college preferred. Special Requirements Must be fully computer proficient with spreadsheet skills.Must have current, thorough working knowledge of physician third party billing regulations, processes, electronic billing, etc. Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills including oral and written.
