Billing & Office Assistant
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Billing & Office Assistant for an established law firm in Baltimore County. The Assistant will be involved in a variety of tasks including processing accounts payable, coordinating schedules, managing insurance, and vendor relations. Responsibilities: • Accurately process accounts payable and maintain related records • Coordinate schedules and events, including meeting room requests and staff time off • Manage the ordering and restocking of office and kitchen supplies • Ensure the upkeep of the firm calendar, including staff birthdays and anniversaries • Liaise with the IT team for technical issues, opening tickets as necessary • Handle service calls for office equipment and report office problems as required • Assist with the annual healthcare plan renewal and malpractice/cyber insurance application processes • Participate in the onboarding process for new employees • Provide assistance with billing and reconcile the internal operating account ledger • Manage the distribution of K-1s as needed and help with health insurance questions and enrollment • Oversee the maintenance of office plants and replenishment of the postage machine funds as needed. Requirements + Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an administrative role + Law firm experience preferred but not required + Billing experience is not required as our client can train someone who is detail oriented, reliable and who is interested in learning and able to pick up quickly In addition to free parking, our client is situated just off the beltway and walking distance from shops and restaurants. This role is eligible for annual revies/raises along with bonuses. + 37.5-hour workday (8:30 - 5 or 9-5:30) Must take 1 hour lunch + For the 1st 3 years, you get 10 days' vacation & 8 sick/personal.
