BILLING REPRESENTATIVE

Registers patients into MMC’s EPIC, collects information required for billing, and patient data update, collects payments, prepares reports, issues patient encounters, enters medical and lab encounter information into database. Issues appointments, performs appointment reminder calls. Prepare new charts, prepare and send missed appointment cards, answers phones. Verification of patients’ insurance status. Maintains medical records system.Send medical record request to other agencies, pull patient medical record for next day appointments and other related duties as required.

 

Experience and Education

Seeking person with one year billing experience. Minimum one year experience in a health care setting.

Computer experience necessary. Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
