A client in the Louisville, KY area is seeking a billing specialist to join the Revenue Cycle team. The essential job responsibilities include submitting all billings through various methods such as paper, electronic, and web portal submissions. The role requires following a billing schedule to ensure timely claim submissions, reviewing and maintaining denials received via mail and Waystar, and correcting all rejections within 24 hours on Waystar and state web portals. Additionally, the job involves submitting claims for rebills within timely filing limits, communicating unresolved denials to business managers, assisting with month-end close, and being cross-trained for coverage needs. Daily or weekly review of unbilled reports and units with no charges is also necessary, along with making appropriate adjustments. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Performance is measured by days to bill, clean claim rate, days to payment, and aging to claims analysis variance. This is a contract to hire role starting at 20/hr.
