We are looking for a **Billing Specialist.** **Key Responsibilities:** + Remain engaged with the project manager, timekeeper, salesperson, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and prompt billing. + Develop an understanding of jobs based on the contract as well as client and BrandSafway requirements. + Justify billing by validating all necessary documentation. + Balance hours worked to hours billed. + Ensure our stewardship of the client through relationships and communication. + Active problem solving and troubleshooting. + Assist in monthly closing to ensure discrepancy resolution, finalized billing, and accurate accrual bookings. + Remain informed about present as well as changing tax and deduction laws that apply to relevant billing. + Prepare for audits through note-taking and proper filing. + Must be able to prioritize projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment. + Follows all procedures for systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records. + Review job costs to ensure all labor and rebill items are completely billed. + Develop expertise in client ERP systems as required to complete billing. + Support collections with accurate reconciliations, timely payments and correct cash applications + Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** + High school diploma required. + Previous accounting experience in accounts receivable or payable, billing, payroll, or other similar functions is desired, but not required. + 2+ years of experience in construction industry, with chemical and refinery a plus. + Service type billing (including labor, material, equipment) + Advanced Excel skills / knowledge + Skills To perform the job successfully, an individual should be able to utilize the following skills: + Mathematics + Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, & Word) + Active listening + Problem solving + Reading comprehension + Critical thinking + Organization + Writing + Speaking + Problem sensitivity BrandSafway offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance along with a generous 401k plan. The salary range for this position is $21.50 - $27.00 hourly.
