About the Role & ProgramFacility Asset Management (FAM) provide construction project management services for the Walt Disney World Resort.
FAM focuses on maintaining the parks, attractions, rides, resorts, roads, retail shops and restaurants while preserving the overall show quality of our Pars and Resorts! Their outstanding construction management staff leads field aspects of construction projects including supervising field construction activities, ensuring the client's requirements regarding functionality and standards are met! This role works withing a team that provides technical support to team members from multiple design fields as well as project management teams to allow them to efficiently implement their project portfolios.
The approximate dates of this internship are June - December 2025.
What You Will Do
As a member of the Facilities Asset Management, your responsibilities may include:
Assist project team in CAD / BIM project setup. Set-up templates, workspaces, libraries, sheet-sets, line-weights, hyperlinking and plotsLearn and assist with company drafting and modeling standards and proceduresDigital A/E library and template managementDetail current projects by keeping meeting minutes, daily reports, attending on-site job walks and photo documentationDevelop an understanding of Construction Site safety and assist in preparation of Site Specific safety plansRequired Qualifications & Skills
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (esp. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)Availability to work various shifts commensurate with project requirementsExperience in using AutoCAD (2020 or higher)Experience in Revit 3D modeling (Architecture, Structure, Electrical and/or Mechanical)Basic knowledge of GIS systemsBasic knowledge of BSD Spec Link & Linkman-EPreferred Qualifications
Experience in BIM 360 suiteSuccessful completion of the Disney College Program or Disney Professional InternshipEducation
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or Post Graduate degree at an accredited 4-year college or university majoring in Architecture, Construction Management or Engineering programJunior, Senior or Graduate student status by arrival dateEligibility Requirements & Program Information
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Be at least 18 years of agePossess unrestricted work authorizationCurrent Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.Additional Information
