Role description:

This role is part of Arcadis’ Global Excellence Centre (GEC) and will join our 3,000+ talented individuals working in India, Romania, and Philippines, in partnership with Arcadis’ offices globally. We are seeking a BIM Manager:  

For the implementation, management, and delivery of BIM information management.  For managing technical aspects of production for projects or components of major projects.  To apply the BIM processes and being capable of establishing and implementing a BIM Execution Plan (objectives, requirements, and conditions) and a delivery strategy in conjunction with a client and delivery team. 

Role accountabilities:

Develop and maintain a good understanding of the services delivered by Arcadis, business and the industry sector to facilitate personal networking and to consolidate personal and company credibility in the industry.  Clearly understand the client’s intended end uses of models developed and continuously implement any improvements with modelling/Digital Engineering processes to better align with those end uses.  Act as primary contact for software development and testing deployment for clients BIM requirements and other consultants involved in project and establish processes in collaboration with them.  Prepare, finalize (with regional office input), implement and own project BEPs based on best practice and Arcadis standards.  Promote the processes, systems, and requirements of BEPs to ensure broad understanding and compliance with the BEP.  Take responsibility to ensure that all BIM modelling is delivered in accordance with the quality requirements outlined in the Arcadis Integrated Management System. Periodically review BIM processes and implementation across all sector’s projects to ensure consistency between projects and identify any issues for resolution before they affect project delivery. Where required, review and update Arcadis’ BIM processes.  Ensure compliance with project BEPs through the role of BIM Manager or through technical reviews. Liaise with the project teams, to ensure review of all BIM models is undertaken for the project.  Provide technical advice to BIM resources. Adhere to project quality assurance and quality control procedures; where project quality assurance and quality control procedures are inadequate, assist with development of procedures with Quality team. Develop effective working relationships with the Project Director or Manager and with the client to ensure there is effective communication of progress and changes, as well as the resolution of issues. Implement ISO 19650 methodologies.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture or Equivalent Courses / Technical Certification relating to BIM. Preferably 10 years of experience working with BIM on multi-discipline projects. Provide Revit and AutoCAD support for design projects. Some activities include but are not limited to: Revit model and project model setup,  development of customized solutions, drawing development, document control, etc.  Lead project teams with Revit modeling requirements, content creation, and coordination efforts. Strong technical proficiency in Bentley Systems design tools, such as ProjectWise, Microstation, OpenRoads Designer, and OpenBuildings. Strong technical proficiency in using the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Navisworks. Develop drawings using design information provided by Visio, Bluebeam, and CAD including systems line diagrams, floor plans, and elevations. Coordinate team assignments and monitor production. Experience in transit projects. Overseas Experience is advantage (work in other countries or project design, outsourcing company). You have excellent presentational and communicational skills both verbal to liaise with other disciplines/ team members. Certified professional of ISO 19650 with project implementation experience is an asset.
